I like learning new things, making things with other people, and creating spaces where people can learn together. Here are a few of the things I've been learning + making recently!

CS for All Washington Podcast

I've hosted a few episodes of the CS for All Washington podcast , talking with Washington educators about joyful, equitable, and identity-inclusive computer science education.

CS Education Book Club

I organized and facilitated a book club for computer science educators interested in reading and talking together about computing, education, equity, and justice. You can see the books we read together on StoryGraph .

Learning Lately

I try to keep being a student myself! In 2024, I completed the STEP CS program at the University of Washington as well as participated in the Processing Foundation's Art + Code Teacher Camp before later returning as an instructor. I've recently taken HTTPoetics and Handmade Datasets with the School for Poetic Computation.

Currently I'm learning about the 3D printers in my classroom, completing Project Lead the Way training in Automation & Robotics, Design & Modeling, and Medical Detectives, and experimenting with risograph printing and p5.riso.
